Unmasked
by Paul Holes

This is a riveting book about crime from a seasoned investigator. He weaves his real life into famous stories of true crime. His experiences are engaging, and he adds tidbits that were not as well known to the public. I recommend this book.

The Poacher's Son
by Paul Doiron

It’s a solid first person mystery set in the wilderness of northern Maine. There’s the kind of twist that feels good to watch unravel, and enough relationship building to feel true.

Monsoon Mansion
by Cinelle Barnes

Written about a young girl's life in the Philippines, the tale shows how her family fell on hard times and either crumbled or grew tougher because of it. Raw, engaging, and hopeful at the end a very good read.

Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe : [a Novel]
by Fannie Flagg

I have completed this book. I also have the movie. I really appreciate this book. It reminds me of when I ate fried green tomatoes. There are some recipes at the end of this book. I miss the sights of my childhood from back home in Oklahoma in the countryside. It touches my heart about what once was and is no longer existing except in one’s memories. It is so sad to see buildings that was so lovely end up destroyed due to time and neglect or being abandoned.

Camino Island
by John Grisham

I liked this book. It definitely was really placed in Amelia island. Grisham’s writing is fantastic. Twists and turns.

Only Girl in the World
by Julie K. Ludgrenn

The story was horrifying but Maude was very tough to survive the abuse she experienced at the hands of her mother and father. A well written memoir.

The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes (a Hunger Games Novel)
by Suzanne Collins

After the Hunger Games, I knew where Snow would end up. That didn't make this any less interesting to read. Instead it brought up so many questions of human nature and how small events can change the course if one's life. Great read!

House Of Flame And Shadow
by Sarah J. Maas

It was aggressively FINE. Could the writing have been tighter? Yeah. Could they have cut like 200 pages of plot? Most definitely. But, it was fun and it beat the doldrums of winter. So, win-win.

Punk 57
by Penelope Douglas

5 star! Absolutely loved this book. Couldn't put it down. I loved the story line and the way the characters collided.

The Wager
by David Grann

Lord of the Flies… but with a shipwreck and a true story! When reading The Wager, you get a glimpse of what humanity turns into when there’s no food.
